What is it? Hear No Evil is a brand new music and arts festival, taking place on bank holiday weekend in the unique London Fields Brewery arches. It’s about music. It’s about nice beer. It’s about doing something fun with mates that won’t break the bank holiday bank. Oh, and you’ll be helping cancer patients and their families too. There will be bands, comedy, spoken word, musical bingo, good food, craft beer brewed on site and some DJs to finish off the evening. It’s wristband only and will be open from 1pm – 3am. The music line up has just been announced and includes some of London’s finest new bands and solo artists, including Halls, Warm Brains, Gentlemen and Great Ytene. Tickets are £15 and are available from hearnoevil.org.uk. Who’s organising it? Run by The Big Mix committee, the event is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and looks to raise as much money as possible for the charity. Over the past five years they’ve raised over £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by putting on festivals. The committee is made up of a group of friends from across London who love new music and want to raise money for a great cause. By day, they work in events management, advertising, fundraising, digital media and in the music industry. Past events organised by the committee include The Brick Lane Takeover and The Big Mix, which have involved a mixture of music, comedy and burlesque using venues across East London. Sponsors and partners have included Soundcloud, Red Bull, Becks, Brother’s Cider, WeGotTickets, Last FM, Boxpark, the Great Projects, Notion magazine, Narrative design and Cellar Trends. Hear No Evil is proudly sponsored by London In Stereo, WeGot Tickets, Don’t Panic and Narrative Design
